JANE G. PATERSON (8 October 1962 - 13 June 2008)

We are all greatly saddened by the sudden passing of our colleague and good friend, Jane Paterson, on Friday 13 June 2008.
Jane was educated at Melrose Grammar School, St Leonard's School and Edinburgh University. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 and passed advocate in 1991. She was appointed Standing Junior, Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1993, Standing Junior, H.M. Customs and Excise in 1995 and Standing Junior H.M Inland Revenue in 1998. She was a very able, successful and popular member of the bar with an extensive and wide-ranging practice. Her deep sense of commitment to the Faculty and to our Stable was combined with sincere warmth and generosity both professionally and personally.
We will all miss her very much. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
