Summary
Colin Milligan called to the Bar in 2006, and has established a broad civil practice. He is regularly instructed to act on behalf of both pursuer and defender, principally in personal injury and commercial cases, but also in matters pertaining to medical and professional negligence and property disputes. These are frequently high value cases. He has also acted on behalf of Unions in relation to the rights of striking employees, and successfully contested an attempted interim interdict by an employer seeking to remove the right to picket. Colin Milligan has appeared without senior in the Outer and Inner Houses of the Court of Session, the Commercial Court and the Sheriff Court.

- Ian Grant & Anor v Ronald Barber & Anor (2007 Appeal Court – unreported) - acted on behalf of the appellants in successfully appealing against the decision of the Sheriff Principle in a boundary dispute.
- Patrick Adams v Vincent Fusaro (2006 Sheriff Court) - acted on behalf of the pursuer in a contractual dispute, successfully opposing motion for summary decree in a counter-claim by the defender, the basis for which was founded on the evidence of the court appointed “man of skill”.
